NSS holds 'Gram Seva and Traditional Sports Day' in villages; over 80,000 take part
The National Service Scheme (NSS) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports held 'Gram Seva and Traditional Sports Day' on 24 October 2026 as part of the sixth week of its drug-free youth campaign. It involved young people, gram panchayat members and villagers in sports, cleanliness and awareness activities.
What this means for you: This programme concerns NSS volunteers in schools and colleges and the villages their institutions have adopted. If your village is adopted by such an institution, similar sports and cleanliness activities may be held there in future. The notice gives no application, form or deadline for ordinary people, so there is nothing you need to do.
