Steel Ministry to hold 'Open House' on 28 October on steel import issues; email by 26 October

The Steel Ministry said on 23 October 2026 that it will hold an Open House in New Delhi on 28 October 2026 to discuss problems related to steel imports. The meeting is for companies and organisations facing issues with SIMS, SARAL SIMS or QCO exemption for imports.

What this means for you: This meeting is not for the general public but for companies and organisations that import steel. If your work involves steel imports or related exemptions, email tech-steel[at]nic[dot]in by 12:00 noon on 26 October 2026 to get a time slot. Walk-ins without prior confirmation are not allowed.
